He is a founder president of Child Online Protection Foundation of India (COPFI.IN) working for online issues related with children and creates awareness amongst the children and parents regarding sensible use of technology in life. He regularly conducts cybercrime investigation workshops & seminars for training students of various colleges & police personnel from the Surat City Police.
Chintan Pathak is also a associate faculty at V.T.Choksi Sarvajanik Law College, Surat as well as other institutions such as Indira Gandhi National Open University, Surat Campus, Sheth C.D.Barfiwala College of Commerce, Surat and Surat Technical Education Society.
Chintan Pathak has authored numbers of articles and research papers on various legal issues in India about Information Technology and Laws. The most recent research paper published by him are, Issue of Cyber Bullying amongst School going Children in India – Human Right Perspective, Possible Policy and Legislative Steps to Improve Cloud Computing Regime in India, Consumer Protection in context of E-Commerce, Role of Teachers in Legal Education and Review of Cyber Security Policy of India, 2013 etc. in various National and International conferences. Chintan Pathak graduated and mastered in Law from the V.T.Choksi Sarvajanik Law College, from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat. He studied Cyberlaws at the Asian School of Cyber Laws, Pune in the year 2003. He is a Certified Cyber Crime Investigator & Cyber Forensic Professional of ASCL. He has studied PGD in Information Technology from Sikkim Manipal Univeristy, Karnatka in year 2001. He studied PGD in Tax Management from South Gujarat University, Surat in year 2000. He studied Network Security from SAIT, Canada. He is pursing Ph.d in Cyber Laws from VNSGU. Chintan Pathak is also an Associate Member of Bar Council of Gujarat, Advocate Association of Surat and Internet Society of India (ISOC). He is a President of All India Information Technology Association for South Gujarat region.
